German karting ace Niklas Krütten signs with ADD Motorsports
Since competing in his first race in 2010, the talented young racer has been following in the footsteps of Sebastian Vettel and Michael Schumacher, making a name for himself in his native Germany and firing himself through the junior karting series.
In 2016, Niklas took to the world stage for the first time contesting in the CIK FIA World Junior Championship with championship winning team Ricky Flynn Motorsport. In a showcase of his talents, the 14-year-old stormed to a fantastic 13th place at the Bahrain circuit, climbing a total of 64 places - an outstanding feat which had not been seen since 2011.
Graduating to the senior class this year, Niklas wasted no time in making his mark with an impressive showing in the opening round of the FIA CIK European Championship, placing 10th in the highly-competitive field of 70 international drivers. Proving himself to be a truly exciting prospect for the future and with full focus on his step up into single-seaters, Niklas is the latest driver to join the ADD driver stable:
Speaking of this new partnership Niklas’ father commented:
“We want to best prepared and make the right decisions moving forward, by partnering with ADD, we are convinced that Niklas will highly benefit from the wealth of experience and strong network that ADD Motorsports have, which will be sure to yield great results”
Echoing Krütten' Mark Berryman, Director of ADD Motorsports commented :
